Maritime Heritage Minnesota conducted a series of reconnaissance dives on anomalies in Lake Minnetonka, identified in 2 side and down imaging sonar surveys. Seven new wrecks were identified and rudimentarily documented, along with other maritime sites. There are now 66 wrecks identified on the bottom of Lake Minnetonka or that was once on the lake bottom, spanning 1,000 years of Minnesota Maritime History.
